B2B Technologies, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Microsoft Education Partner and provider of IT consulting services, announces the Muscogee County School District (MCSD) launch of its new public website: www.muscogee.k12.ga.us. MCSD engaged B2B Technologies and Microsoft to design, develop, and deploy this website using Microsoft SharePoint 2010.

The MCSD Communications initiative, Keep PACE (Proactive Administration of Communications in Education), encourages streamlining communications processes. After careful consideration, the School District decided on the Microsoft SharePoint platform to modernize and improve the capabilities of its public website. Microsoft and B2B Technologies were selected to implement a solution relying on extensive SharePoint experience and expertise with K-12 schools to implement a collaborative interaction model. In addition, B2B Technologies led the development of two additional secured internal sites for use by MCSD staff, which allows authorized users to post content directly online.

The MCSD customized SharePoint solution includes:

• A more user friendly MCSD public website , providing parents and students with easy access to the latest information about their local school and enhanced online search capability.  
• A Staff Portal that gives school administrators and staff anywhere, anytime access to a single, secured comprehensive knowledgebase with links to news, events, facilities, technology services, benefits, financial information and more. Documentation and multimedia files are easily accessible from a centralized repository via the Internet on a PC, Smartphone, tablet or other mobile device.
• A Project Management Portal is a centralized area online where administrators and team members can track all aspects of a project, such as milestones, tasks, messages, documentation, and updates to ensure project planning and execution align with the School District’s processes and goals.
