Frank Fuerst, Co-Founder and CEO

Frank is co-founder and President of B2B Technologies and is responsible for the sales and marketing operations of the organization. He is also the chair of the Management Committee and orchestrates the long-range strategy for the company. Frank, along with co-founders Matt Tinkler and Don Wolf, has guided the privately held company to consistent growth every year since its founding in 1998.

Prior to starting B2B, Frank held consulting and sales positions at American Software, a long time leader in logistics applications. Later he was R&D Director at Logility, a subsidiary of American Software. Both companies specialize in supply chain management systems that are used at some of the largest companies in the world. Frank’s responsibilities there included the development of the company’s first suite of Web-based applications.  

 

Frank has had a fascination with computers and technology since grade school. He loves to explore how others in the Microsoft partner and customer community are continuing to expand the use of these technologies in delivering solutions across all industries.

Trained as an engineer, Frank got his Bachelor of Science degree from Brown University. He also has an MBA from Georgia Institute of Technology, and is an avid Yellow Jacket fan.  Frank is active in the Atlanta community, sitting on several non-profit boards and was a member of Leadership Atlanta - Class of 2004. He is an avid long distance cyclist, riding and racing in regional and national events. He also enjoys coaching youth sports, hiking, fishing and outdoor adventures of all kinds. Frank currently lives in Atlanta with his wife of 25 years and their two daughters.

Matt Tinkler, Co-Founder and CIO

Matt Tinkler is co-founder and CIO of B2B Technologies. He is in charge of technical direction and strategy based upon his work with customers and partners. This role includes managing partner relationships, technical sales support, and hiring for practice areas. He is also a member of the Management Committee and along with co-founders Frank Fuerst and Don Wolf, helps plan the corporate direction.

 

Early in his career, Matt began as a Management Associate for one of the largest banks in the southeast, now part of Bank of America, where he eventually held a departmental management positions. Later he joined American Software where he met the other founders of the company. Working for Logility, a spin-off of American Software, he was a key member of the team that developed “Voyager”, the 1997 Business-to-Business E-Commerce Product of the Year as selected by the Gartner Group.

 

Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.  In addition to often finding him on a tennis court where he is a long standing member of a competitive team, he is an active member of an investment club and a book club. Matt is a native of Atlanta and lives near Emory University with his two sons.

Don Wolf, Co-Founder and CTO

Don has a long business career in several major organizations involved in manufacturing and manufacturing-related services. Much of his experience has centered on ways to enhance business processes through the application of new and emerging technologies.

 

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Computer Science, Don was instrumental in developing innovative solutions for complex heavy equipment purchases for J.I. Case/International Harvester. He took his natural consultative approach to Sterling Professional Services as an expert in improving manufacturing and IT processing. Don’s work was concentrated in the “big three” auto companies at plants throughout North America. This experience eventually led him to American Software, a long-time leader in the field of supply chain management.

 

For over ten years, Don held a variety of application design and development roles associated with manufacturing and logistics, crafting leading-edge solutions to existing and evolving needs of various industries. His technical skills grew to cover multiple platforms, from mainframe to client-server to Web applications. While with American Software, he worked with industry veterans Frank Fuerst and Matt Tinkler, who along with himself, eventually founded B2B Technologies. Their ingenuity and skills were used to spearhead a new Internet Division that won accolades from industry experts like The Gartner Group for revolutionizing ways to do business on the web.

 

Today as CTO of B2B Technologies, Don directs the day-to-day engagement processes and technical staff responsible for all client deliveries. In addition, he maintains account responsibility for select long-term clients.

 

Don spends his free time raising his two teenage daughters, and the challenges that come with that! He makes his home near Stockbridge, Georgia. In his free time you will often find him reading the classics, grilling his steaks to perfection while savoring a fine wine and riding his motorcycles both on and off road. Lastly, always passionate about technology, Don can often be found near one of the many computers he has placed strategically around his home, toying with the latest and greatest upcoming technical advances.
